Additional information the film festival is below:

  • The Carr Center on Human Rights Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School will hold “Pride & Prejudice: Film festival, and Symposium” on 11 – 12 April 2019 about decriminalizing same-sex relations. Across the world, same-sex relationships are being decriminalized in India (2018), Belize (2016), Nauru (2016), Seychelles (2016), Mozambique (2015), Lesotho (2012), Fiji (2010), and the British Virgin Islands (2001).

  • However, the progress is slow, in large part, as the hearts and minds of the broader population are not invested in this change.

  • We need to support lawyers and activists trying to overturn some of these colonial-era laws that criminalize adult consensual relationships between same-sex couples and can by helping people understand the love does not have a gender.
