Amb. Omamo is the first woman in Kenyan history to hold this position. She has been an advocate of the High Court for 27 years and is the first woman Chairperson for the Law Society of Kenya. She was also the first woman Ambassador of Kenya to France, Portugal, Spain, the Holy See and the Republic of Serbia and the first woman Permanent Delegate of the Republic of Kenya to UNESCO.
