JUNE 2019

London | June 11

City Ambassador Tatiana Avedessian organized a panel discussion on Women in Finance. The speakers included Joy Adams, Andrea Marmojelo, Isabel Liu, Monica Mendiratta and Deanna Zhang.

MAY 2019

Boston | May 31

Three HKS graduates met at Sip Cafe in downtown Boston for a themed lunch discussion on youth-led activism. Anika Manzoor, an MPP graduate who organized the lunch, is the ED of Youth Activism Project, an NGO that empowers youth activists.

London | May 31

London City Ambassador Tatiana Avedissian organized a panel discussion on women in politics. Newly elected MP Irina von Wiese; Resham Kotecha, head of engagement for Women2Win; and Siobhan Benita, London mayoral candidate 2020, all joined to discuss challenges facing women in public office.

Seven HKS graduates met in Cambridge for a themed dinner discussion on challenges facing Central American countries. The organizer, Margaret Blood, is the founder and ED of Mil Milagros, and NGO that empowers indigenous Guatemalans.

Tatiana der Avedissian launched the HKS Women’s Network London chapter with more than 20 alumnae. Participants networked and discussed future events and programming opportunities. The group is now organized with London-based LinkedIn and WhatsApp groups!

Philadelphia | January 12, 2019

Bernie Munley and Gail Chavis organized a movie and discussion event in early January. HKS and HLS women watched On the Basis of Sex, a documentary on the early career of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and discussed personal experiences with gender discrimination.
